Concorde provides the requisite five-panel drug screen for all DOT pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing. We have been performing DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing since 1988 and are experts in the understanding of 49 CFR Part 40.

DOT Drug Testing

Concorde specializes in FMCSA Drug and Alcohol (Am I FMCSA Regulated?) testing programs for localregional and national companies. However, we also have years of experience managing FTA, FAA and FRA regulated programs.

Collection: Concorde typically conducts pre-employment and random testing at one of the clinics in our National Network or with one of our On-site collectors. Depending on the location of your facility(s), we are usually able to send your pre-employment applicants and random selected employees to a clinic within 10 miles. All of the clinical facilities in Concorde’s network have certified collectors who meet the requirements of DOT regulations.

Random Testing: Concorde’s proprietary Randoms Program automates the process of selecting drivers for Random testing. Our model is to provide full-service random testing support including: selecting quarterly rosters, monitoring year-end percentage goals, chase missing tests, and providing year-end MIS reports upon request.

Lab Analysis: All DOT tests are collected with a split specimen (A and B bottle) and sent overnight to a SAMHSA certified laboratory for testing of the 5-panel drug screen.

Medical Review Officer: Concorde has three (3) MROs on staff to review the drug test results and report out to the DER. Average turnaround time for negative results is 24 hours.

Breath Alcohol Testing

For Breath Alcohol Testing, Concorde uses certified Breath Alcohol Technicians who use certified Evidential Breath Test (EBT) devices to assure compliance with the strictest regulations. In accordance with Federal regulations, all breath alcohol tests are reported immediately upon completion of the testing. See Program Administration for more information on Concorde’s reporting features through our web-based Sparc® software.

Program Administration

Due to the volume of work Safety Managers are asked to handle on a daily basis, Concorde has developed a web-based system, SMART®, that allows you to view test results, print reports, and run year-end audits on your driver pools right from your computer.

Testing Process

Concorde’s internal policies and procedures, in regards to Drug and Alcohol Testing, follow the strict guidelines of the U.S. Department of Transportation. Concorde’s regulated testing is overseen internally by our General Counsel.
